Into the Okavango Film with Top Performing Student at SOS

02
Into the Okavango is a film documentary that was made deep in the heart of the Okavango Delta by a team of conservationist coupled with the National Geographic film crew. This documentary showcases how the team embarked on a mega-transect expedition to get real time data survey of the whole system in the Delta including the water-based species. After discussions for copyrights to stream it live for the children, Perry revealed that it’s important for children to be exposed to such films in order to broaden their minds on career choices.
The children got to learn a lot about traditional canoes, the animals, the importance of data surveys, the challenges that come with expeditions, filming, photographing, becoming a mokor poler. The present sponsors at this event were Choppies and Kalahari Conservation Society. Miss Cultural Heritage and Tourism Africa, Ms Lebogang Keakopa said a speech to the children reminding them to work hard to one day become savers of the Delta just like the team players in the film.
